MARCH 28, 2019 - MERCURY DIRECT STATION PERIOD:
The actual moment when Mercury appears to be stationary and is about to move forwards is the Mercury Direct Station. Mercury stations Direct 16°06" Pisces 8:58am CT March 28, 2019. This lasts less than a full day.
Think of a 3-point turn with you vehicle. After the point between reversing and facing the right direction, your vehicle has to stop (be stationary) for a moment to switch gears.
During that day, there's a focus for revealing the consequences of the mistakes made during the retrograde period. You may find your thought processes or movements (ruled by Mercury) have slowed down or are a little to catch spark on that day.
MARCH 29 - APRIL 16: MERCURY RETROGRADE POST-SHADOW PHASE.
Mercury is moving forward, and this post-shadow phase refers to the time during which Mercury is back on direct (forward) track, retracing the path in the sky where it had formerly moved backward during the retrograde period. The planet slowly gets faster as until it reaches its normal speed but as it does so, things are "wobbly". Cruise speed hasn't yet been reached but is on its way.
Though moving direct, it's still trekking on the retrograde path. There's still review during this period, but more importantly there's action. Often, this period helps to reveal the errors in communication, trade, and travel that have occurred during the retrograde and pre-retrograde phases. The direct station period is a good time to straighten out details that became disorganized, delayed, or miscommunicated during the retrograde.
APRIL 17, 2019 at 7:03 PM CT: MERCURY DIRECT.
Mercury ends the Post-Shadow. It's cruising time where communication, travel, and trade resume back to normal.
THE NEXT MERCURY RETROGRADE OF 2019:
The second Mercury Retrograde of 2019 begins with the Pre-Shadow in Cancer (23° 57") on June 20, 2019 at 12:00 pm CT.
There's a shift from Cancer to Leo. (I'll post about this closer to the time.)
Mercury goes Retrograde in Leo (4° 28") on July 7, 2019 at 11:14 pm Universal Time, 6:14 pm CT.
As it treks forward again there's a shift from Leo to Cancer.
The Direct Station occurs in Cancer (23° 57") on July 31, 10:58 pm CT.
Mercury ends the Post-Shadow on August 15, 2019 at 2:53 am EDT.
